Diverse Harmony sang recently on January 20th and 21st which was an evening of song and dance!  Diverse Harmony, based in Seattle, WA, is the nation's first LGBTQ-Ally Youth Chorus, bringing the message of love and acceptance with their beautiful vocals and rockin' dance moves.  They are celebrating their 10th season in 2012 and hope you're able to attend their performances.

In this concert, we celebrated both the physical and (frequently) emotional journeys that we experience throughout our lives.  Many of the songs were near and dear to our youth's hearts, because many of our performers ultimately have had to leave the chorus because of work, school, or age.  In addition, many of us can understand how our journeys can be both exciting and isolating.  It was a high-energy, upbeat show that included: Go The Distance, Sittin' On The Dock, Take The A-Train, and Midnight Train To Georgia.

BFF - May 28 & 29 and Sep 25 & 26, 2010

It is their senior year and the choir of Longmont High is preparing for a very important choral competition in another state.  As the choir struggles to come up with the money to go on the trip, drama ensues as the control freak queen of the choir and the seemingly shallow but talented new girl vie for the attentions of a sweet, unwitting gay boy.  Will they raise the money to go to the competition?  Will they stay BFF's?  This original musical expresses themes of acceptance, inclusion, friendship, and teamwork - reminding us that some things never change.

Written by 21 year old Kat Miller, also playing the role of Ally in the show, Best Friends Forever! features an original score filled with fun, vibrant, heartfelt songs.  Come hear one of the freshest new voices of musical theater.

Freak Show - May 15 & 16, 2009

The basic premise of Freak Show is we all have public and private personas. We are all circus freaks on the inside. In keeping with that theme, the production was done showing the backstage, completely uncensored. The music featured a mix of songs from Broadway shows and radio, as well as original compositions by youth performers Kat Miller and Kince de Vera.
