About Fluidity

A Choir with a Cause

Fluidity is an adult SSAA Choir that embraces diversity and has a passion for building community. Artistic Director Rhonda Juliano started a Fluidity choir in Cincinnati years ago and brought the concept back when she returned to the Pacific Northwest. Fluidity of the South Sound started rehearsing in fall 2023 and took off when we started partnering with Trinity Presbyterian Church and the Bryant Community Center in January of 2024. We currently have over 50 singers from all over the region. Singers come from Anderson Island, Seattle, Enumclaw, Gig Harbor, Olympia, and the surrounding Puget Sound area.

Fluidity was created to be a positive force in our community. We select and recognize local nonprofit organizations that are doing good in our community. Our concerts are designed to highlight the nonprofit and to sing themed songs that relate to their mission. After concert expenses, all proceeds are donated to the nonprofit. So much good work goes on unnoticed. We sing to highlight and celebrate the wonderful work of our neighbors.

FAQs

Who can join Fluidity chorus?

We are an adult chorus that primarily sings SSAA (soprano and alto) repertoire. Although we do not have auditions, we do ask that you come early to a rehearsal so that the artistic director can assign you to a voice part.

How much does it cost?

We do not exclude anyone from participating due to financial reasons.

Most Fluidity members contribute sustaining donations at a suggested amount of $75/semester or $150/year. Fluidity singers' generous donations help support our organizational expenses such as licensing and printing sheet music, paying our artistic director and accompanist, and concert expenses.

When and where does Fluidity rehearse?

Fluidity chorus currently rehearses from 7:00 — 9:15 pm on Thursday evenings at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tacoma.

How can I join?

We’d love to have you join the choir! For details, please email our artistic director at fluiditysouthsound@gmail.com or come to a rehearsal early.
